Legal Requirements as per the Marriage Act of 1961

I can fit in around your schedule to meet and have a chat – oh and by the way, I do not charge for the initial consultation! You can choose to meet wherever you feel most comfortable, whether it be in my home, your home, or your favorite café.
Notice of Intended Marriage, (NOIM) this needs to be completed, signed, and lodged with me, not more than eighteen months, but not less than one month, prior to the wedding. In order to complete the NOIM I need to sight original copies of; If born in
- If born in Australia or overseas, your original birth certificate, or passport.
- Proof of identity, i.e. Australian passport, overseas seas passport, drivers licence, a proof of age card/photo card, a certificate of Australian Citizenship along with another form of photographic evidence.
- If either of you have been previously married, I will need your; BDM issued Marriage Certificate, and a Federal Magistrates Court issued Certificate of Divorce (Obtainable from the Family Court in the State where you were divorced).
- If either of you have been widowed, I will need the original Death Certificate of your previous spouse.
Any documents provided in a foreign language must be translated into English and a Translation Certificate supplied.
All documents must be originals not photocopies or Certified Copies.
